Lakeside camping
The ‘great outdoors’ is beckoning! Look no further for an Outdoor + Active camping adventure by one of the South West’s most vibrant, yet picturesque lakes. We have five lakeside camp sites across Devon, Cornwall and Exmoor offering a range of facilities along with a variety of watersport and land-based activities.
Roadford Lake, Wimbleball Lake and Tamar Lakes are graded by the AA at two or three stars. Siblyback and Stithians are situated almost on the water’s edge, making them the ideal location for a ‘lakeside camping adventure’: you can literally crawl out of bed and in less than a minute you could be windsurfing across the water before breakfast.

Siblyback Lake, Cornwall
Welcome to Siblyback Lake campsite nestled in the hills on the edge of Bodmin Moor. The unique campsite is a countryside meadow which runs down to the water’s edge, perfect for anyone wanting a real lakeside camping adventure.
Ideal for the watersports enthusiast and family groups alike, with windsurfing, sailing, rowing and kayaking - you can launch your own craft or hire from the centre. If you prefer to stay on land, there are beautiful walks and a children’s play area, as well as a café serving light meals and cakes. Anglers are well catered for with boat and bank fishing facilities at one of our Premier rainbow trout fisheries.
Siblyback Lake Country Park, PL14 6ER
Facilities: 21 standard pitches, showers, wash up, disposal and recycling facilities, area. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Stithians Lake, Cornwall
Welcome to Stithians Lake campsite, near Falmouth. An ideal base for outdoor and watersports enthusiasts to take a break on the water.
At the watersports centre you can take part in windsurfing, sailing, rowing and kayaking, launch your own craft or hire. If you prefer to stay on land, there are lakeside walks and a cycle trail as well as the ‘Pirate Boat’ children’s play area. Anglers are well catered for with boat and bank fishing facilities at this stocked rainbow trout location.
The award winning Golden Lion Inn is less than 100yds from the campsite, serving delicious, home-cooked food.
Stithians Lake Country Park, TR16 6NW
Facilities: 24 standard pitches, modern showers, wash up, disposal and recycling facilities, Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Tamar Lakes, Cornwall
Welcome to Tamar Lakes campsite located near the North Cornish coast and the popular tourist town of Bude. Another of our AA 2-Star graded sites with breath taking views to enjoy.
Ideal for the watersports enthusiast with windsurfing, sailing, rowing and kayaking – launch your own craft or hire from the centre. If you prefer to stay dry there are beautiful walks and cycle trails at the lake as well as a café and visitor centre in the main building. Coarse anglers are well catered for with large carp, bream and rudd.
Families with young children can enjoy the play area, beach and pedaloes.
Tamar Lakes Country Park, EX23 9SB
Facilities: 28 standard pitches, modern showers, wash up and disposal and recycling facilities. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Roadford Lake, Devon

Welcome to Roadford Lake campsite, an AA 3-Star graded site with panoramic views over the 740 acre lake. Ideal for the watersports enthusiast - launch, hire or learn windsurfing, sailing, rowing and kayaking.
If you prefer to stay on land, there are beautiful walks and cycle trails at the lake as well as a licensed café, visitor centre and children’s play area across the water – take a trip on the fabulous solar-powered ferry. For the more adventurous visitor there is a range of land-based activities including a high ropes course, climbing wall and archery. Anglers are well catered for with boat and bank fishing facilities at this stocked brown trout location.
Roadford Lake Country Park, PL16 OJL
Facilities: 40 standard pitches + 8 premium pitches (electric hook-ups and hard standing) Modern showers, wash up, disposal and recycling facilities, new undercover BBQ area. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor
Welcome to Wimbleball Lake campsite situated within the breathtaking Exmoor National Park. Nestled in the Exmoor hills it is one of our 3-star AA graded camp sites complete with spectacular panoramic views.
The watersports centre offers a wide range of activities on and off the water allowing you to create the adventure holiday you desire. From learning to kayak, windsurf or sail to climbing or problem solving, Wimbleball Lake has everything you need to get Outdoor + Active. The fabulous café means you don’t even have to go far to grab a bite to eat or stock up on basic provisions. Around the lake is 9 miles of cycle path to enjoy on foot, bike or in a mobility scooter. For the more adventurous visitor there is a range of land-based activities including a high ropes course, climbing wall and archery. Anglers are well catered for with boat and bank fishing facilities at this renowned stocked rainbow trout location.
Wimbleball Lake Country Park, TA22 9NU
Facilities: 19 standard pitches + 11 premium pitches (electric hook-ups), showers, wash up, disposal and recycling facilities and hard standing pitches. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
