Le Bois Masson Holiday Park

Le Bois Masson is one of the largest and liveliest holiday villages in the Vendée, on the west coast of France. This area is famous for its long coastline, beautiful sandy beaches, and long hours of sunshine. The park itself is close to some superb sandy beaches and the seaside town of St-Jean-de-Monts, both just a short drive or cycle ride away.

The holiday park centres around the fabulous indoor and outdoor swimming pool complex, complete with a 4 lane water slide and toddler pool. There’s plenty of sunbeds around the pool, and a relaxing bar terrace to enjoy a drink and an ice-cream.

Just next door is the great indoor bar and restaurant, together with an outdoor terrace for meals and snacks late into the evening. The pizzas here come highly recommended!

There is a huge amount to enjoy at Le Bois Masson, plus you can use the facilities at Le Bois Dormant too, the sister park located across the road.

This holiday park offers modern and fresh two or three bedroom mobile homes that come with the following:

• fully fitted kitchen with all utensils
• lounge and dining area

• one or two twin rooms
• outdoor garden furniture (chairs, table and sunloungers) and a gas BBQ – perfect for those warm al fresco evenings!

The layout of the mobile homes varies depending on the model, some mobile homes may have a central lounge with bedrooms at either end, other homes may have the lounge at one end. Duvets and pillows are provided, please bring your own bed linen, or bed linen and towels can be purchased from reception.

Attractions near Le Bois Masson Holiday Park

St Jean-de-Monts

Take your pick of spots to sit at the massively long beautiful sandy beach, which the locals consider one of the most stunning in France (if not the world). This part of the world offers sand castle possibilities for the younger holiday makers and great watersports for the older, including surfing and body-boarding.

St Gilles-Croix-de-Vie

A quaintly French seaside town, with a lovely old carousel at the port which children head straight for! There are plenty of shops to wander around in the pedestrian streets, complete with many ice-cream shops and restaurants, famed for its fresh sardines.

Noirmoutier

Escape the mainland for a short time to admire the small island of Noirmoutier. Give your children a taste of the past with the old-fashioned bathing huts or they can relax on the unspoilt beaches (Bois de La Chaize is the prettiest), clamber around the ruins of the 7th century monastery or get wet at the Oceanile waterpark (approx 15 miles).

Apremont

Apremont, half an hours drive away, is a pretty village with a medieval castle, a large lake and a sandy beach. You can hire pedalos, flat-bottomed boats and canoes to paddle leisurely around the lake. Once you’ve worked up an appetite you can justify trying out the bar and restaurant which have stunning views over the lake.
