North East caravan holiday parks
The Northeast of England packs a mass of award-winning attractions and fascinating history into a relatively compact region. You can get to see an awful lot and have a lot of fun without having to wander too far.
Want to delve deeper, read our articles about:
There are so many castles in the region that you’re practically tripping over them. Discover the tranquillity of Lindisfarne, not the folk band, but the holy island seen as the cradle of English Christianity. Durham Castle and the neighbouring Cathedral are a combined World Heritage site, and the centrepiece of a wonderful city. Hadrian’s Wall is another World Heritage site, the most northerly reach of the Roman Empire and a potent symbol of its power.
There are plenty of attractions and events in the region, including the award-winning Sunderland International Air Show. Enjoy beautiful beaches, like Marsden Bay and Bamburgh, and learn to surf in Tynemouth and Saltburn-by-the-sea. Watersports enthusiasts will also find great sailing and canoeing at Kielder Water and Forest Park.
Discover the majesty of the North York Moors on foot, by bike, by car or on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. Visit the great cities of Leeds, York and Newcastle, and don’t forget that a major part of the region’s culture and character comes from its association with mining, seafaring and the railways. Visit attractions like the Beamish Museum, which features a working colliery community, farm and manor. If you’re looking to treat the whole family to a fun theme-park day out, Ocean Beach Pleasure Park is a winner.
We have six caravan holiday parks at coastal locations across Northumberland and Durham, with direct beach access at Berwick Holiday Park. There is also a range of facilities and activities on offer with indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a variety coached sporting activities. Please see specific facilities and entertainment on offer at the individual holiday parks on the links below.
