North West caravan holiday parks
The Northwest is a stunning region taking in Cumbria’s world-famous Lake District, the Howgill Fells, the Forest of Bowland in Lancashire, and Cheshire’s stunning Peak District. These dramatic locations have a breathtaking variety of peaks, forests and lakes with walks and cycling galore.

There are the big cities of Liverpool and Manchester with their musical, seafaring and industrial heritage, and a family holiday should not pass without a visit to the bright lights (or rather, the illuminations) of Blackpool and its famous beach. Chester Zoo also remains a firm favourite. On the theme-park front there is a range of family fun at Pleasure Beach, Gulliver’s Kindgom and Camelot.
There’s more family fun to be had at South Lakes Wild Animal Park in the Lake District, where education, conservation and fun blend seamlessly, and Jodrell Bank in Cheshire, where the interactive science centre and planetarium sit beside the world-famous Lovell Radio Telescope.
Facing Wales on one side and Scotland on the other, the Northwest was for a considerable time preoccupied with castle building. Happily, many of them are still around for you to enjoy, and Lancaster Castle, Chester Castle, Carlisle Castle and Lowther Castle all make for great family days out.
