Tarka Holiday Park Proud holder of the David Bellamy Gold Award for conservation, Tarka Holiday Park is peacefully situated in the heart of North Devon close to the town of Barnstaple. This is a family run holiday park and it is easy to see why guests looking for an ‘away from it all’ break come back year after year.
Out and about there are a host of things to do and see. Within a ten mile radius are the superb beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde, Woolacombe, Instow and Westward Ho! Renowned for their surfing and miles of golden sands. Nearby, you could also try sailing, riding, fishing, water-skiing, cycling and even sky-diving! For golfers there are five courses in the area. Barnstaple is well worth a visit for shopping and exploring. Head inland and you’re in the land of Tarka the Otter and Lorna Doone, or head out to Exmoor with its wild stags, ponies and some breathtaking views. The park itself is situated in a peaceful, country setting adjacent to the Taw Estuary and the famous Tarka Trail, offering cycling, walking and nature observation. Cycle hire is available on site.
For the children there is an adventure play area, a bouncy castle and an amusement arcade. Family members, young and old, can challenge their talents on the putting green and Crazy Golf course. The fully licensed clubhouse, with pool table and in-house entertainment, is open nightly offering drinks and a select menu either for eating in or takeaway.
Accommodation at Tarka Holiday Park is in comfortable, modern caravan homes, well equipped for home from home self-catering.
Tarka is a family park and does not accept bookings from groups of single sex parties of any age or mixed parties under 21. Bed linen is not provided so please bring your own. |
