BreakFree with Confidence Guarantee

If we or the accommodation provider cancel your booking, or if you cancel your booking because UK government public health measures mean that it is unlawful to travel to or make use of the accommodation you booked, you will be able to choose one of the three options below. The Breakfree with Confidence Guarantee is included as standard on all 2021 breaks.

Full refund

On Breakfree non-promotions bookings we will refund you the full amount you have paid for your booking.

Transfer to a later date or a different resort or accommodation

Subject to availability and accommodation provider, we will help you move your booking to a later date or even a new location or accommodation with no admin fees, but please be aware that if the cost of your new accommodation is higher than your original booking, then you’ll need to pay the difference.

Choose an e-voucher to rebook your holiday online

Where applicable, you can request an e-voucher for the amount you have previously paid for your booking. You can then use it to book a new holiday online or towards another existing booking. For full terms of the three available options and when they apply, see booking conditions.

Extra cleaning and safer check-ins

All our accommodation providers have adapted their cleaning protocols and realise the importance of social distancing during check-in and throughout your stay.

 Secluded and self-contained

Many accommodations are in rural locations, away from busy towns and cities. Most accommodations are self-contained and in wide open spaces, making social distancing easier. Please read accommodation descriptions fully to ensure they meet your location and accommodation requirements.

Cleanliness and Safety Promise Principles

All our accommodation providers adhere to follow the following cleanliness and safety principles:

– Cleaned and sanitised: Using effective disinfectant for all surfaces and high touch areas.

– Managing and reporting cases: Government guidelines followed to report and manage any potential or confirmed infection cases.

– Safer check-in: The use of key safes through to distanced check-ins and protective screens (where appropriate) for high footfall areas such as park/resort receptions.

– Safer check-out: New ways to check you out, from providing a drop box for your keys on check-out or allowing you to leave them in the accommodation at the end of stay.

– Hygiene: Where facilities are shared, making hand sanitisation stations available at the entrances of such facilities or for key areas and/or protective screens for high footfall areas.

– Social distancing: For shared facilities and areas where a lot of guests could be present at one time, signage on site and markers on the floor requiring guests to follow government guidelines with respect to social distancing whilst on holiday.

– Adapting facilities: Putting in place appropriate queuing or one way systems.

Partner Price Promise

In the unlikely event that a BreakFree holiday  is more expensive than booking directly with one of our Operator Partners, and subject to the holiday being exactly the same accommodation, date and location, we will refund the difference to match the price.

BreakFree Bookings
– The Operator Partner’s holiday must be on the same dates / same duration / same accommodation grade.
– The Operator Partner’s holiday must be available at the time of match.
– The competitors price must be publically advertised online and cannot include any membership/personal discounts.
– We cannot match promotional offers, for example holidays that are available via a token collect.
– The Price Promise excludes the BreakFree booking fee.
– We will match within 72 hours of receipt of purchase.

Bookings with BreakFree via a Newspaper Promotion
All of the above points apply plus the following:
– Our Price promise applies to promotional bookings where 4 people share an equivalent grade holiday home and pay for service and entertainment/clubroom charges.
– It excludes bookings where optional extras have been purchased such as bed linen, half board, upgraded or different category accommodation, or bookings where 5 or more people share a holiday home.

II. Customers’ monies for the payment of their promotional holidays will be held in a Trust Account and will only be passed to the Operator on completion of the holiday. This ensures complete financial protection for the customer. For non- promotional holidays, customers will pay a deposit and then final balance within 8 weeks of the holiday start date in the normal way and as set out in our Ts and Cs on the BreakFree website. If the start date of your Holiday is less than 8 weeks away from the date on which you make the Booking, the full Holiday cost is payable.

Most park operators are reopening their parks to guests in Janaury but obviously with restrictions in place to ensure compliance with government advice relating to the Coronavirus situation. In this blog post, we thought we would share with you what these new holiday experiences will be like for guests at the holiday parks of our partners HavenParkdean Resorts and Park Holidays UK.

Haven Hideaway

Haven have made some significant changes to ensure you can get away as a family safely with the introduction of ‘Haven Hideaway’. Haven Hideaway has all the fun of the outdoors, but does not include access to the usual entertainment, activities and pools*. You can pick up your essentials from the on-park supermarket, the launderette will be open, plus there are plenty of takeaway food options. You will find Haven parks in the prettiest parts of the UK. So you and your family can explore miles of beautiful beaches, coastline and cliffs. All of their 2020 prices have been adjusted, to recognise the revised experience they are able to provide.

As Government restrictions are fully lifted, they will open the usual Haven activities, pools, restaurants and entertainment. All guests will be contacted at least four weeks prior to their break and at this point they will provide an update. Don’t forget that all bookings, new and existing, for 2020 and 2021 are automatically covered by their Coronavirus Book with Confidence Guarantee which means you can book your holiday safe in the knowledge that you are covered if the coronavirus pandemic interrupts your plans.

Park Holidays UK Pandemic Pledge

Park Holidays UK will also be opening their doors to guests in July and you can Book with Confidence, as not only is their holiday offering in compliance with Coronavirus restrictions, but they have also taken the worry out of booking with their Money Back Guarantee

You can book a break safe in the knowledge that if restrictions are extended you can transfer your holiday to another date with no admin fees or request a full refund. If they are unable to offer entertainment or access to public facilities, they will also provide FREE Superfast Wi-Fi in your accommodation or you can still transfer your holiday to a later date with no admin fees or request a refund.

Money Back Guarantee – If their parks are closed due to government restrictions, you have a choice:

– Move your holiday to another date with no admin charge and enjoy a 20% discount off the price of your new holiday.

The Parkdean Resorts Promise

You can still book a Parkdean Resorts holiday with confidence as they have put in place a number of guarantees to ensure you can book your next holiday with peace of mind.

Peace of mind

If your park has to close due to government advice when you’re due to be on holiday with them, you’ll get a no-quibble 100% refund or a voucher for a future holiday, which will be equal to the amount you have paid towards your current booking, plus up to an additional 20%.


If you are a critical worker or required to self-isolate and coronavirus changes your plans meaning you can’t travel to their parks, you can change who travels free of charge, or you can move your booking to another time, simply paying the difference if the cost of the new holiday is higher than your original holiday.

Easier payments

Due to these unprecedented circumstances, Parkdean Resorts know things may be difficult right now and they want to do more to help. That’s why they have extended balance due dates from 10 weeks to 4 weeks prior to arrivals on or before 30th November 2020.
