Park Holidays UK

Update: March 22nd 2020, 15:00

If your booking is for a holiday or short break with an arrival date in April, they will be cancelling this and contacting you to discuss your options. They are recommending that your booking is deferred to a date later in the year or even early next year and they will offer you a 20% discount on your new booking to thank you for your patience and understanding. You do not even have to confirm a new date just yet, but they recommend you do. You can always change your booking again if you need to.

Guests with a booking that is due to start from May 1st or later will not be cancelled at this time. However, they will be reviewing the situation weekly and advise you of any changes as soon as possible.

If they cancel your holiday, you have three options:

  1. Rebook your holiday for a later date.
You can choose to rebook your holiday for another date in 2020 or Spring 2021 with no administration fee. They will carry forward all monies paid to your new booking and you are also free to change the park, duration and accommodation grade if you wish to do so. Also, you will benefit from a 20% discount off the price of your holiday. After that discount is applied, any difference in price will be due for payment 30 days before your arrival or refunded back to you at the soonest possible time. If you choose to move your booking to the 2021 season, they will freeze the cost of your new holiday at 2020 prices and offer you a 20% discount (subject to minimum holiday pricing terms)
  2. Hold your payment.
If you are unable to confirm a new date at this point, they can hold all monies paid to be transferred across to your new holiday, once on you decide to book again. If your new arrival date falls before the May 31st 2021, you will also benefit from a 20% discount off the price of your holiday. After the payment has been transferred and the discount applied, any outstanding balance would then be due 30 days before your arrival or refunded.
  3. Cancel your booking.
They understand that you may decide to cancel your booking and they are also aware that many of our guests will be feeling the financial impact of the current situation so if you choose to cancel your holiday, they will refund all monies paid, including your deposit as soon as possible.

BreakFree European Holidays

Update: March 17th 2020, 14:00

We currently have no customers on holidays with us outside of the UK because our European holiday season was due to start at the end of March.

HOLIDAYS BEFORE 24th APRIL

We have now postponed the opening of our parcs until 24th April at the earliest. We will continue to review this date. Unfortunately, if you were scheduled to travel before 24th April you can be certain that your holiday plans will need to change or be put on hold. The options we offer affected customers are currently under review by the Travel Industry and the Government. As soon as we know more, we will be in touch to discuss the options available to you.

HOLIDAYS FROM 24th APRIL

Currently the FCO advises against all non-essential travel to Spain and Italy, and we recognise that the introduction of increased controls and restrictions introduced in many European countries will have a significant impact on our customers’ holidays, so we are currently assessing the situation. If the situation remains this way 2 weeks before you are due to travel, then we will contact you to discuss your options.

As far as we know all other UK parks are open as usual and will be in contact with you if anything changes. Any queries regarding any other operators we would encourage you to contact them directly for the most up to date information. Thank you for your patience, and in the meantime if you have questions about your situation, please review our answers to some common questions below.

FAQs

  1. Travel to European destinations

Currently the FCO is advising against all non-essential travel to Italy and Spain. Please check the latest Government advice here.

  1. What do I do if I’m due to travel to a destination where the FCO are advising against non-essential travel?

If you booked via one of the BreakFree Holidays newspaper promotions, your park operator will be in contact soon to discuss your options. If you have any queries in the meantime, please contact them directly using the contact details on your park confirmation.

If you have a BreakFree holidays booking which was not booked via one of the newspaper promotions, please contact us directly.

Our Italian parks have delayed opening until 24 April 2020. If you are due to arrive in Italy before this date, your park operator will contact you to discuss your options. The park operator will aim to find you an alternative date or destination, but if this cannot be arranged you have the right to cancel and you will be offered a refund. You wouldn’t be entitled to any additional compensation, as the reason is outside our control.

As of 15 March, the FCO advises against all non-essential travel to Spain – if the advice stays this way 2 weeks before you are due to travel, then your park operator will contact you to discuss your options.

  1. I’ve booked travel arrangements myself – am I protected?

For any travel arrangements such as flights, ferry travel or car hire, then you will need to speak to the service provider/airline you made the booking with. They will have their own policy as to how they manage these claims.

  1. What if I decide I don’t want to travel?

If the FCO advice has not changed and your holiday park is operating as normal, your holiday will be subject to normal booking conditions and cancellation charges. If you have strong concerns, we would advise to speak to your park operator.

  1. My balance is due, should I go ahead and pay?

The normal booking conditions apply, but we understand you may have concerns. If you booked via a newspaper promotion, please contact your holiday park operator who will be able to discuss any options available to you.

  1. I’ve been advised to self-isolate; can I cancel my holiday?
