With William and Kate so close to the birth of their second child, Royal Baby fever has gripped the team here at BreakFree Holidays and we’re having fun guessing at baby names.
We asked you to tell us what names you would pick for a Prince and Princess – and it seems you would keep things traditional.
In our snap poll, the most popular girls name is Diana, taking almost 20% of the vote. The names of our two most famous Queens came second and third, with Elizabeth and then Victoria your second and third favourites. Alice comes in fourth – itself a traditional favourite of the royal classes, and perhaps popular as this is the 150th anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.
Boy’s names were much less popular – do you know something we don’t? Again, it was old favourites that topped the list. Henry came first – perhaps with memories of the brilliant Wolf Hall fresh in people’s minds. Next up are James, John, Arthur and Albert – princely names if ever we heard them!
So, how did BreakFree Holidays customers do in guessing the name of the Royal Baby? We’ll find out in the next few days!
