Weston-Super-Mare is the place to head for a family day out. You can start off at Weston Bay with its stunning grand pier, miles of sandy beaches and a promenade looking out over the Channel. For the very best views of the coastline, take the Wheel of Weston, the town's answer to The London Eye.
For something a little different, head to Weston Beach to indulge in some watersports or a boat trip around the bay. Afterwards, you can stroll into the town, where you will find entertainment suitable for all the family, from activities designed for the kids to restaurants and bars for a relaxing evening.
If you're a lover of sea life, Weston-super-Mare's SeaQuarium is the place to be. Here you can walk through an underwater tunnel and get close to a variety of sea creatures, including sharks. With feeding demonstrations and a host of displays throughout the aquarium, kids will be in their element.
To gaze into the past head to Weston-Super-Mare museum, where you can learn all about Somerset and see displays and exhibits that will transport you back to the Ice Age.

World's longest hedge maze
Kids will have a whale of a time at Noah's Ark, which is a zoo and adventure playground and also boasts the world's longest hedge maze. For a more modern selection of ships, head down to the new marina development, Port Marine, where you will see a diverse range of stunning boats.
Visit the town of Clevedon to see perfectly preserved Victorian architecture and a pier dating from 1869. Clevedon Court is a 14th century manor house maintained by The National Trust, and a great place to chill out in beautifully landscaped gardens.
