Great Yarmouth's impressive coastline has wide expanses of clean, soft beaches, and there are two piers, Britannia Pier and Wellington Pier, hosting much-loved family shows ranging from the Chuckle Brothers to the Wizard of Oz.
The Great Yarmouth Golden Mile is the hub of holidaymaker activity, where visitors will find ice creams and sugary treats, illuminations and theme parks, entertainment and evenings out. A the top of the mile is the thrilling Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach which has everything from white-knuckle, high octane rides to calmer teacups & saucers and dodgems.
The town centre includes the shopping district of Regent Road - which by night is lit up by restaurants, cafes, pubs and diners. The Gorleston Pavilion Theatre, Hippodrome and Britannia Pier Theatre have shows throughout the year and there is racing - of the greyhound and stock car varieties - at Yarmouth Stadium.
However Great Yarmouth isn't all glitzy glamour: there is a peaceful Heritage Quarter and South Quay based around the busy port, several museums including the award-winning Time & Tide museum to the herring industry and one of the best preserved medieval walls in England.
Away from the hustle and bustle of Great Yarmouth's busy centre are the beautiful, peaceful Norfolk Broads, which are the UK's largest protected wetlands. Guests can reach the Broads quickly and hire a boat for day of relaxed exploration.
