Sunny Hunny

Hunstanton's main beach is consistently awarded Blue Flag status and is perfect for safe family bathing with lots of soft golden sand - the perfect place to soak up the sun. At the Old Hunstanton end of the beach there are sprawling sand dunes.

Striped cliffs

The most famous attractions in Hunstanton are the town's stunning striped cliffs and its lighthouse. The cliffs mix red and white chalk with sandstone, providing a treat to the eye. The historic lighthouse, was built in 1844 to replace the original 17th century structure. During the First World War it was a key monitoring station but is now a holiday home.

Lifeboat maneuvers

For something a little different, you could go and watch the Hunstanton RNLI lifeboat station team practice their drills and maneuvers every Sunday morning at their depot in the old town.

Old town

Old Hunstanton is steeped in history. It was once a significant fishing village but is now best known for holiday cottages and arts and crafts shops. Whilst in the old town, you can visit the church of St. Mary the Virgin, where a flower festival is held each year.

New town

You will also find plenty to do in the town centre. The High Street mixes shops designed for tourists with traditional high street names, whilst there are regular markets on Sundays where you can take your pick from a wide range of fresh fish.

Pool perfect

You can make a splash even in bad weather at the Oasis Sports and Leisure Centre located on the Central Promenade. Here you will find a leisure pool with an indoor adventure play area for the kids. Kids are also catered for at Captain Willie's soft play activity centre.
