There is plenty to see across Essex, including the kiss-me-quick seaside resorts of Southend and Clacton, plus plenty of small towns and villages and even the incredible countryside that inspired the landscape painter Constable - all ready to be explored by your and your dog.
Pet friendly pubs
Many of Essex's popular attractions welcome pets, but please check details before you travel. And after all this exploring and walking, you'll be grateful of the pet-friendly pubs and cafes where there is always a welcome bowl of water for your dog and tasty grub for you.
Our pet-friendly holiday parks in Essex have dedicated caravans for those travelling with dogs - simply complete your search and look for "pet friendly" in the accommodation description.
There is always a small charge for travelling with your pet, which will be added on during the booking process. Most parks will accept up to two dogs per accommodation.
Need to know
Holiday parks will usually have a few rules for pet owners. Dogs should be kept on leads when on site, and they shouldn't be left in caravans on their own.
Dogs listed under the dangerous dogs acts will not be accepted - if in doubt please give your park a call.
