Set between East and West Sussex is Eastbourne, a popular seaside town with shingle beaches and seaside attractions for all tastes, including spectacular Beachy Head, the UK's highest chalk sea cliff.
Further along the coast is Brighton, often voted the UK's favourite seaside town thanks to a perfect mix of seaside kitsch and hipster cool. The shingle beach is famous, but there's also a Victorian pier equipped with fairground attractions, a dazzling pavilion that was once favoured by the Prince Regent, and the towering British Airways i360, the world's first vertical cable car which offers sky-high views of the city.
