Visit England… for an action-packed summer

English Tourism Week (16-24 March) is a great chance to remind ourselves of what a marvelously fabulous holiday destination England is. Okay, we don’t have guaranteed sunshine and thermometer-busting temperatures all summer long but get over it, and think about what we do have!

Visit England has pulled together a fabulous events calendar of inspiring, exciting, mysterious, spine-tingling and even pulse-racing events that are taking place throughout the year.

Visit England events in 2013

Our favourites include April’s Isle of Wight Arts Festival, when comedians and performers descend on the tiny island.

In May, head to Cornwall for the St Ives Food & Drink Festival where you’ll find (and taste, of course) the most amazing locally caught seafood.

June includes Father’s Day, which is a great excuse to try something a little more adventurous – how about a bushcraft course on Bodmin Moor or tree top leaps through the air at Altitude in Bournemouth?

Continuing the flight theme into September, the Bird Men of Bognor Regis will be (hopefully) soaring through the skies with their homemade flying machines… we’re keeping our fingers crossed. September is also the month when Blackpool lights up a million bulbs for the Illuminations – a sparking way to end our round up.
